Reserving
Appointments- At Tinley
Park Dental Care Center we recognize that our patients have
busy lives.
In order to better accommodate your schedule we will plan to
complete your services in as few appointments as possible.
Thanks to new technology like the CEREC
3 and Illumine™
many services that once required multiple appointments can be completed
in only one visit!
We also offer hours starting as early as 6:00 AM as well as
Saturday hours.
Our patients understand that these are “prime” times that are
offered on a first-come-first-serve basis.
We do ask that our patients give 24 hours notice if they are
unable to keep any reserved appointment.

Preventive Care – Total
health is dependent on many dental factors.
Early detection is vital to maintaining healthy gums, teeth and
bone structure and treating dental disease as early as possible means
more comfortable, conservative and affordable care. Diligent hygiene can
keep dental disease at bay and our team of registered dental hygienists
at Tinley
Park Dental Care Center are trained to work with you to
control plaque and tartar, which are the leading factors in dental
disease.
To better understand the power of prevention read A
Lifetime of Smiles.
Patient
Safety – Questions
about sterilization and patient safety are always welcome at Tinley
Park Dental Care Center.
We are proud of our sterilization standards and pleased that our
patients appreciate that effort. Our sterilization procedures are meant to protect, not only
our patients, but ourselves as health care workers. Knowing that we are responsible for our own health and the
health of our patients gives us every incentive to follow, to the
letter, standards for infection control.
Emergency
Services – We
hope you never need emergency services, but we want our patients to be
assured that emergencies are given priority at Tinley
Park Dental Care Center. We
make every attempt to take care of your emergency the same day you call.
If you have a dental emergency that will not wait until the
office reopens Dr. Ryan can be paged at 708-399-6113.
You may also print a copy of Emergency
Quick Tips to have handy should a dental emergency occur.
Financial
Services - Our
goal is for our patients to receive optimum dental care.
At Tinley Park Dental Care Center
we understand that, for many of our patients, this investment will
require planning. We make
financial options available to our patients and want you to feel free to
discuss these options with our dental team.
If you have not made prior arrangements we do expect that your
portion will be taken care of as services are received. Insurance
Services – If you
have dental insurance coverage we will work with you to maximize your
benefits. As a service to
our patients, our staff will estimate your benefits and process your
claims for you. We accept
most, but not all, group plans. It
is our ethical obligation to you as a patient to insure that the plans
we do accept allow us to provide the same high standard of care to all
of our patients. If we find the coverage offered does not meet that criteria
we will choose not to participate in that plan.
Please remember that the type of services and fees allowed by
your plan are determined by the type of plan purchased by your employer.
Realistically, no insurance company can determine
the treatment that would most benefit you or the appropriate fee
for that specific service. The
skill, care, and judgment of the doctor and the dental team determines
the service and the fee
Dental
Care for the Whole Family -
Dental needs know no age limitations and neither do the services offered
at Tinley
Park Dental Care Center.
We recommend that your child be seen for preventive care starting
at about age three, but we serve patients of every age.
We understand that patients of all ages have special needs and we
encourage our patients to discuss their needs with us.
Your
First Visit – Patients at Tinley
Park Dental Care Center are usually first seen with Dr. Ryan
for a comprehensive evaluation.
Since our first concern is for your long term health, the goal of
this visit is to assess your dental health, target any potential
problems that are, or could in the future, rob you of your dental
health, and communicate honestly with you about your dental condition
and treatment options.
Since many dental conditions do not exhibit symptoms until they
are in an advanced stage, and because the signs of disease such as decay
and bone loss are often not apparent to the naked eye, Dr. Ryan will
need diagnostic x-rays in order to feel confident that nothing has been
missed that could cause you problems later.
To request an appointment visit our Scheduling
Center.
The
Comprehensive Evaluation – This
includes an examination of your teeth, existing restorations,
occlusion (bite), and periodontal (gum tissue) health.
An oral cancer screening is also performed at this visit.
Dr. Ryan will assess your plaque index, which indicates the
amount of plaque and tartar on the surface of your teeth and recommend
the type of cleaning that is appropriate for you.
Your professional hygiene appointment will be scheduled with one
of our registered dental hygienists who will also be happy to give you
helpful instructions about controlling plaque and tartar at home between
preventive care appointments.
And always, If we don’t tell you every thing you want to know,
ask us, we know an informed patient is more likely to be a healthy
patient, and at Tinley
Park Dental Care Center, healthy, happy patients are our
goal!
